D.BAIL/NEW YEAR NEW STUFF

" As 2009 draws to close, I have many thoughts on my mind about the state of the entertainment business and the state of the world in general. I'll stick to the first though because the latter would take up a few pages. I have had great opportunties this year interviewing the likes of Illa J, N'Dambi, Pretty Ricky, Angie Stone and many others. I truly love hosting and hopefully my platform in 2010 will be something well recoginized and supported. I had the opportunity to work with Nike this summer for the "More Than A Game" super event in Washington DC with LeBron James. Thanks to AR and Pub City for that. In this business, there are so many pitfalls and negative people and situtaions that occur. Yes I have come across my share of them but I've also been blessed to be around folks who care about the quality of work they are involved in as well as going hard for their dreams and not making any excuses. Kudos to them! In 2010 I look forward to my continued community service with the youth, Justo's Mixtape Awards, my partnerships with my brothers in music and my continued climb with the companies I work for. Hopefully I can get my long awaited DVD out as well. There is new footage I'm constantly getting and I just want to make sure it looks professional and is entertaining for my audience as well. Greatness takes time! I appreciate the continued love and inspiration I get from everyone out there. In the words of the late great Bruce Lee,“I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or to be judged. I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach. I will not allow myself to indulge in the usual manipulating game of role creation. Fortunately for me, my self-knowledge has transcended that and I have come to understand that life is best to be lived and not to be conceptualized. I am happy because I am growing daily and I am honestly not knowing where the limit lies. To be certain, every day there can be a revelation or a new discovery. I treasure the memory of the past misfortunes. It has added more to my bank of fortitude.” Peace to all and have a blessed new year." -D.BAIL

D.BAIL/GRAM

For all my people out there who love great music be on the lookout for the "Future of Hip Pop R&B Soul" Gram. He is definitely one of the most talented musicians I've heard and worked with, we attended college together and I've seen his dedication to his craft over the past few years which is second to none. Gram is currently working on his debut album "Measure of A Man" which features upbeat club smashes like "Energy" (before the Keri version was put out), slower ballads for the ladies "Fine, Beautiful & Lovely" and many more hits. At just 21 years old Gram aka Grammy 'R&B 50' is prepared to take the music industry by storm and do his thing. Gram and I most recently put out a mixtape "The City is Mine" (hosted by D.Bail) and we are working on a bonus edition that will be released soon. 2008 was a year of transition for Gram as he left Big Sound his former indie record label and is now a free agent. With performances at Music Choice, Club Rebel, China Club and a brief Midwest tour Gram is also prepping for shows overseas in February 2009. You can check some of the songs off "The City is Mine" on vibedeck.com/gram and check the links below for some exclusive album cuts. "The City is STILL Mine" is a brand new mixtape on the way around Spring hosted once again by Your Media Arts Specialist D.BAIL. Thanks to all the kids who supported us on this grind too! We got yall all the way just watch." - D.BAIL

"ENERGY" REVIEW

D.BAIL/HARLEM CELEBRITY READ-A-THON

"Every year since 2007 I've been granted the opportunity to give back to the community in a major way via the Harlem Celebrity Read-a-Thon that is held at the Hip Hop Cultural Center (124th & Frederick Douglass BLVD @ Magic Johnson Theatre) A former colleague of mine knew of my work with the youth and recommended me for the star studded list. So in June we all round up and read books to over 300 local elementary school kids right in Harlem NYC. I am always excited to combine my love for entertainment and the kids and just have a great time. I look forward to this every year, and the free food from sponsor Burger King doesn't hurt either." - D.BAIL

D.BAIL/NEW YEAR GRIND

"Happy belated New Year, 2008 was a rough year for many and I salute those whose stayed on their grind and stayed focused. As many crazy things that have happened within our world including the weak economic state we've been in, it's been harder than ever to keep following those dreams, but I'm here to encourage and tell you to KEEP PUSHING! I am thankful for my family & friends and most important the blessings God has bestowed upon me. I plan on making this my biggest year yet. The entertainment business like most other businesses is suffering to the point where even the most educated and experienced people could be here today and gone tomorrow. At the end of the day, this is still the year of the entrepreneur and the year of change. I believe we will see alot of folks becoming their own bosses and CEO's to make things happen. So in 2009 I wish all my colleagues and friends the best of success! Stay tuned for more from D.Bailey productions." - D.BAIL
