WHERE YA AT? VIDEO SHOW

"What's up good people? It's been a minute since my last post, but I'm still here. Sometimes in order to move better in your future, you have to take a look back at the past. While in my senior year of college, I had the opportunity to intern with Where Ya At? Video Productions through owner Mike Sisti, a veteran and well respected producer and videographer. I had appeared in a documentary for a classmate of mine named Chris Morton. It was about youth culture in America and I dropped my thoughts of what is was like growing up in an urban setting. He was impressed with my on-screen presence and dialog and said he may have an opportunity for me. He introduced me to Mike, who was looking for a new host, and my first day on the job with little preperation, I interviewed soul and funk artists Que & Malaika who had a new single 'P in the Funk' that featured the legendary musician George Clinton. I was nervous but got through it pretty well for a newcomer. Mike was pleased, hired me on the spot and my hosting career had begun. I hosted the weekly show from early 2004 up until June 2005. The show had the hottest videos out as well as live performances, interviews and was sponsored by clothing chain Against All Odds. I'm grateful for opportunities such as this one and for a while we had a top watched video show in prime time for Comcast Cable. Mike gave me a platform to shine and build my craft and I will always appreciate that! I had a chance to really network in the music business as well as interview some celebrity talent. Where Ya At? Video Show also led to my introduction to the Justos Mixtape Awards and the rest is history! Check me out in my early days representing with Where Ya At? Video Show. Much respect to Reesha and Deejay Ran who contributed and hosted WYA as well. I will be posting more exclusive throwbacks as they become available. Thanks for watching!

D.BAIL/GRAM

For all my people out there who love great music be on the lookout for the "Future of Hip Pop R&B Soul" Gram. He is definitely one of the most talented musicians I've heard and worked with, we attended college together and I've seen his dedication to his craft over the past few years which is second to none. Gram is currently working on his debut album "Measure of A Man" which features upbeat club smashes like "Energy" (before the Keri version was put out), slower ballads for the ladies "Fine, Beautiful & Lovely" and many more hits. At just 21 years old Gram aka Grammy 'R&B 50' is prepared to take the music industry by storm and do his thing. Gram and I most recently put out a mixtape "The City is Mine" (hosted by D.Bail) and we are working on a bonus edition that will be released soon. 2008 was a year of transition for Gram as he left Big Sound his former indie record label and is now a free agent. With performances at Music Choice, Club Rebel, China Club and a brief Midwest tour Gram is also prepping for shows overseas in February 2009. You can check some of the songs off "The City is Mine" on vibedeck.com/gram and check the links below for some exclusive album cuts. "The City is STILL Mine" is a brand new mixtape on the way around Spring hosted once again by Your Media Arts Specialist D.BAIL. Thanks to all the kids who supported us on this grind too! We got yall all the way just watch." - D.BAIL

D.BAIL/PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM

"One of the things that I do outside of the industry that I'm most proud of is my work with the young people. I am a Media Arts Instructor for a program called Upward Bound at NJCU. It's a weekend program that helps middle school/high school get prepared for college. The program gives classes on Saturday, extra tutoring, it pays for their SAT test and college applications. I work with the students who are trying to work in the entertainment field. I teach four aspects of Media including Film, Radio, TV & Audio. We shoot a documentary/movie once a semester that the students write and produce themselves. I encourage their creativity, and allow them to stand out and be leaders. The class also works on their self-esteem and helping them become better communicators in general. This is the best aspect of my career, the chance to give back. There are so many kids who don't have an outlet in the streets. I want them to feel as whatever they want to do in life as long as they have education and work hard they can achieve it." - D.BAIL

D.BAIL/SOHH.COM

"I began interning at SOHH.com in 2001 which was a crazy year. I was still in college making the proper adjustments to school full time, working part time and keeping a internship. I remember being at the old office downtown Jersey City on 9/11 watching the second plane hit those buildings. The next day I started working for Americorps National Service and went straight to NYC helping out. SOHH gave me the opportunity to humble myself, work hard, soak up information about the industry and not complain. SOHH.com is hands down one of the best websites out today and I seen them come up through dedication and sacrifice. It is definitely an inspiration for me and others starting out with their own company. The Co-Owner was someone I had looked up to for years and he taught me to do the little things well and when bigger opportunties came I would be able to handle it. A lot of people want to work in the business but don't like to put any work in. I interned a total of 5 years with various companies because you have to pay dues..." - D.BAIL

D.BAIL/MUSIC CHOICE

"I remember my friend calling me when the opportunity to audition finally came. I walked in the building with no headshots or managament. I drove them crazy weeks after trying to see if I got the spot. Working as a host with Music Choice was one of the best things that happened in my career. It's when I officially became a professional. The best experiences I had was going in to view and shoot the first episode, having my friends and family with me and realizing how blessed I was. The DEMMX award was cool too. We had the most talked about artists on our show and definetely set the standard with the On Demand service. The producers molded me into a better host and constantly challenged me to step it up. The staff treated me so good, I used to love the free Red Bull and snacks! I learned alot about the business end of TV and Music Choice opened up plenty doors for me, I am still greatful to have had that shot." - D.BAIL

"I just wanted to follow my dreams and I did. A few great people helped me along the way to make sure I had a chance. All the goals I set as a kid God made possible, now I have to give back to all of those who dream too."

D. Bail has been an entertainer since his birth on March 22nd. Born in New York and later raised in Plainfield New Jersey, Doug has worked effortlessly since his young teens building a plan for his exciting future. That led to an opportunity to be apart of the 2005 Justo's Mixtape Awards at BB Kings in NYC where Doug conducted backstage interviews with all the performers and presenters which included Diddy, DJ Kay Slay,The Game, Common, Do or Die, Green Latern, Shyeim, The Legendary DJ Luv Bug Starski, Pitbull, Bishop Lamont, Purple City, DJ Vlad, DJ Finess, DJ Radio, DJ Ron C, DJ Kurupt, Tre Williams, Rich Boy, Consquence, DJ Big Kap, DJ Backside, The Original Spinderella, Papoose, Boot Camp Click, Saigon, Remy Ma, Chamillionare, Swizz Beats, E.Ness, J Love, Just Blaze, Tru-Life and countless others.

The show featured competitions such as Chris Brown vs. Neo, Janet Jackson vs. Beyonce, Keyshia Cole vs. Mary J. Blige & T.I. vs. Lil' Wayne to name a few. Within 6 months the show gathered over 2 million viewers. The show "Certified" won a Billboard DEMMX award in 2007 for Best New Interactive Show. With the cable TV On Demand feature, fans were able to be interactive with the show through Cingular text messages, online votes, one on one street interviews with D.Bail and even voting on their remote control.

Doug known as "D. Bail" on the award winning show continues to look for different opportunities to grow in the business. D.Bail was also the feature correspondent for Comcast/Cablevison & Verizon Fios new urban video show "What's Hot TV", which had a viewership of 2.8 million subscribers in New Jersey, Philadelphia & Delaware. The show gave D.Bail the opportunity to spotlight his upcoming events as well as promoting his forthcoming DVD "D.Bail Files Volume 1" which features some of his highlights in the entertainment business along with exclusive artist interviews.

Doug is currently working at 107.5 WBLS, the NYC flagship station for the Steve Harvey Morning Show & The Wendy Williams Experience, as well as inspirational Gospel station WLIB 1190 AM in their Promotions department.
